Abstract

1,016,450. Reservoir marking instruments. C. SCHREUR, and S. E. LACY. Aug. 9, 1963 [Aug. 15, 1962], No. 31511/63. Heading B6P. In a reservoir pen having a reservoir 11 filled with an absorbent mass 17, the nib 14 comprises an elongate narrow tube 20 of seamless synthetic plastic material which compactly encloses capillary ink feeding material 21. The tube 20 enters the barrel 11 of the pen through a hexagonal hole 13 which allows air to enter the reservoir through passages 24. The tube is of such a frictional fit in the hole 13 that a force in excess of the force produced with normal writing pressure moves the tube axially in the hole 13.
