Class 56 In a glass composition comprising a glass-forming oxidic component and a glass-modifying oxidic component, the glass-forming component consists solely of vanadium pentoxide and constituents from 46 to 73 per cent by weight of the composition, and a major proportion of the glass-modifying oxidic component consists of lead oxide or barium oxide.
