A glass comprises 50-85 per cent weight WO 3 and sufficient P 2 O 5 to make up to at least 95 per cent weight. Up to 5 per cent weight Na 2 O, KzO, BaO and/or ZaO may be included. The source of the P 2 O 5 is HPO 3 or NH 4 H 2 PO 4 .
