743,663. Automatic steering control systems. BENDIX AVIATION CORPORATION. Feb. 10, 1953 [April 4, 1952], No. 3744/53. Class 38 (4). In an automatic aircraft pilot an elevator 12 is adjusted by a servomotor 10 controlled through a thermionic valve amplifier 44 in known manner. To reduce noise injection into the input of amplifier 44, the A.C. outputs from the pick-off of a gyro 50, the pick-off of an altimeter 100, a position feed-back inductive device 140, and a rate feed-back generator 150, are applied to amplifier 44 through twisted pairs of leads 90, 130, 149, 152 and transformers 200, 211, 223, 235 respectively, the latter having earthed centre-tapped primary windings.
