Abstract

743,558. Apparatus for removing drawers. COMPAGNIE INDUSTRIELLE DES TELEPHONES. July 24, 1953 [July 25, 1952], No. 20600/53. Class 52(1). [Also in Group XXIII] A device for extracting a drawer from its casing comprises a lazy-tongs linkage carrying at one end a handle 1 and at the other end an abutment plate 2 stepped at 2a and having a concave edge 2b. A tongue 13 carried by the link pivot 7, is slidable in a guide 14 on the plate 2 the tongue being provided with a lip or flange 13a. The casing 17 is extracted from one of the compartments of a rack 15 by engaging the tongue behind the front face of the casing, the concave edge 2b of the plate 2 being placed against the front section of the base 15a of the compartment and the handle being pulled in the direction 21. To perform the reverse operation, the tool is turned over and the tongue 13 introduced into a notch 16 in the base of the compartment the handle again being pulled in the direction 21. In a modification, Fig. 8, (not shown) the flange 13a is replaced by a spur.
