Abstract

734,207. Electrostatic precipitation. LODGECOTTRELL, Ltd., and THORP, H. W. Oct. 13, 1953 [Oct. 27, 1952], No. 26978/52. Class 39 (1). Discharge electrodes are made of flexible corrosion-resistant synthetic rubber or synthetic plastic material such as polyvinyl chloride which has been rendered electrically conductive. Carbon or other electrically conducting material may be dispersed in the electrode or it may be coated with a conductor. The electrodes may have a core of metal or of fibre such as glass, nylon, cotton or jute. The electrodes are kept straight by weights or springs.
