Abstract
731,355. Hand trucks. DRAKE, J. B. March 25, 1953 [April 8, 1952], No. 8959/52. Class 108 (1). A hand truck of the kind having a substantially vertical arched frame providing an unobstructed space for accommodating a load, is provided with braced-together members 17, 18 and pairs of trunnions 35, 36, and so on adapted to take a readily removable cross-bar from which may depend a load-engaging hook In a modification the trunnions engage spigots on a tipping body, and in a further modification, Fig. 6, the cross bars 59 and 61 support one or more extending bars 54 for carrying coils of wire. The truck may be collapsed by unscrewing wing nuts 29, 30, and folding the ties 25, 26 back on to the handle which is then itself turned to lie against the arched frame.
