Abstract
717,202. Connecting continuously delivered threads to the winding means. ALGEMENE KUNSTZIJDE UNIE N. V. May 26. 1952 [July 19, 1951], No. 13294/52. Class 120(2) A device for continuously forwarding a. running thread by means of a gas in a spinning or twisting machine and' provided with two spaced ducts in alignment has the two ducts 11, 12 arranged in a substantially cylindrical casing 10, the space between the two ducts 11, 12 being formed by a notch in the casing 10, the notch being bounded by an inclined wall 13 on the side from which gas is supplied through the duct 11, which duct is adjustably arranged in the casing 10. The duct 11 may be connected to an air supply, so that a stream of air is directed into the, flared orifice 32 of the tube 12 to which a wire basket may be attached to collect a thread applied to the air stream passing through the notch. In order to release obstructions caused by faults in the thread that may occur between the duct 11 and the orifice 32, the duct 11 may be retracted against pressure from a spring 28. Adjustment of the duct 11 may be effected by a nut 26. A shield 33 prevents threads from wrapping around the device.
