Abstract

1,209,882. Break spinning. VSESOJUZNY NAUCHNO - ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUT LEGKOGO I TEXTILNOGO MASHINOSTROENIA. 21 Jan., 1969, No. 3297/69. Heading D1D. In a process for pneumatically spinning yam a helical whirling suction current is generated by feeding compressed air in direction C through pipe connection 8 into air chamber 14 from when the air passes through tangential channels in bushing 2 into a channel 5 formed between the bushing 2 and a funnel 3 through which the spun yarn is withdrawn. The chamber is connected to a suction device which draw the whirling air channel 5 into the chamber. The funnel 13 may be vertically adjustable for changing the intensity of the air vortex. Single fibres are fed tangentially to the chamber through inlet 11.
