Class 64(3) In a plate heat-exchanger provided with secondary heat exchange surfaces between adjacent plates 1, the said surfaces comprise elements 4, so corrugated that portions 5 extend normally to the plates and constitute spacing means therebetween, and other portions 6 extend diagonally between adjacent plates to constitute struts adapted to .resist shear forces set up in the matrix during operation. End spacers 2 are provided and the structure including headers 3 is bonded together.
