Class 12(1) In a needle bearing in which the needles 3 have end portions 4 of reduced diameter. and the outer race 5 has flanges 6 overhanging the end portions 4, the inner race 1 is of contour convex towards the needles and of radius of curvature equal to at least 1,000 times the twelfth part of the length of each of the needles. The radius of curvature may be constant or may vary from the median plane of the bearing.
