Abstract

906,198. Drafting-rollers. SKF KUGELLAGERFABRIKEN G.m.b.H. July 11, 1961 [July 12, 1960], No. 25134/61. Addition to 791,145. Class 120 (2). In the top roller of the parent Specification, the coupling-member has, adjacent its end remote from the circumferentially beaded end 6, a retaining portion which is radially resilient and engages a channel formed in the other part of the two parts, i.e. the sleeve 3 and outer ballrace 5, to be coupled together. The retaining portion may be a flange 8 with circumferentiallyspaced resilient projections 10 fitting in a channel 9 on the sleeve, the bead 6 engaging the race. On the end remote from bead 6 the member may have a flange 12 with or without a similar concentric flange, axially-split at 11 and bearing against a shoulder on the sleeve. In another form, Fig. 4, the members 10 are of dovetail shape and a flange 15 is provided with axially-resilient parts 12<SP>1</SP>, alternate ones of which are split partially or wholly through in a radially direction (11, 14), the parts bearing against a shoulder on the sleeve. In a further form, resilient parts at the end remote from the bead engage a pin on the sleeve.
