Class 61 In a pipe wrench comprising an adjustable jaw 1 pivoted on a hand grip of U-shaped cross section, the jaw 1 having a toothed shank engaged by a spherical nut 7 seated in circular holes in the side walls of the hand grip the nut has a knurled annular groove 9 to facilitate adjustment. The shank 3 is rectangular in cross section and has worm wheel teeth on two opposite edges to engage with the screw thread in the nut. The shank is guided in the channel of the U-section member.
