Abstract
589,740. Wrenches. COLE, M. A. March 29, 1945, No. 8013. [Class 61 (iii)] A tool for unscrewing caps on jars, bottles and the like consists of a lever arm 10, on which a member 15 having a serrated jaw may be slid and locked in any one of a number of pre determined positions and an adjusting screw 13 passed through a downturned end of the arm 10 opposite to the jaw. In one modification, the jaw member 15 may be fixed by means of a locating screw 23 passed through holes in the arm 10. Alternatively, the lever arm may be formed with a series of notches with a pair of which projections on the jaw member are held in engagement by a spring.
