Abstract

559,368. Wrenches. JAMES, I., and ROBERTS, B. July 15, 1942, No. 9860. [Class 61 (iii)] A spanner comprises fixed and movable jaw members 1, 7 provided with coacting teeth 4, 10 held in locking engagement by a sliding sleeve 5 which when moved into the position shown clear of the shoulder 12 permits the movable jaw to be released and adjusted. The rear end of the movable jaw member has a pivoted lockiug catch 13 adapted to be moved into lateral position when the sleeve is to be moved into unlocking position. One or both of the jaw members may have a screw adjustable jaw to give a fine adjustment.
