694,080. Leather-rolling machines. SCHOLZ, E.. [trading as BAYERISCHE MASCHINENFABRIK REGENSBURG F. J. SCHLAGETER.]. Nov. 8, 1951 [Dec. 28, 1950], No. 26222/51. Class 76. In a leather working machine in which a carriage and roller move backwards and forwards over the leather, and the movement of the carriage is effected by rotation of a spindle 18 driven through a toothed wheel reversing gear, wear on the reversing gear is reduced by providing a belt pulley drive 16, 17 between the reversing gear and the spindle 18. The reversing gear comprises friction clutches and gear wheels and is enclosed in a housing 2 on which the driving motor is mounted. Reversal may be effected by the movement of the carriage through rod 19 and lever 20.
