Abstract

964,338. Swaging machines. GES. FUR FERTIGUNGSTECHNIK UND MACHINENBAU G.m.b.H. Dec. 23, 1960 [Dec. 23, 1959], No. 44343/60. Heading B3H. [Also in Division F2] A swaging machine has radially acting hammers 2 driven by eccentric shafts 1 mounted eccentrically in rotatably adjustable housings 3, each shaft 3 carrying a flywheel 5 coupled through an Oldham coupling having an intermediate grooved disc 9, Fig. 2, with a driving wheel 6. The latter carries a V-belt driving pulley 7 and has a toothed periphery which meshes through idler gears with similar driving wheels for the other three hammers. The intermediate disc 9 has grooves 10, 11 on opposite faces which are engaged respectively by slide blocks 13, 12 secured to the driving wheel 6 and flywheel 5. Mounted on the housing 3 is a gear 16 meshing with a common central gear for adjusting the stroke position of the hammers.
