693,661. Steering ships. AKTIESELSKABET BURMEISTER & WAIN'S MASKIN - OG SKIBSBYGGERI. April 30, 1951. [Jan. 4, 1951] No. 10142/51. Class 114. [Also in Group XXVII] In a twin-screwed ship the rudder steering is assisted by simultaneously adjusting the propeller thrusts by devices controlled from the steering gear. Levers 39 which can be locked to the individual engine control levers 34 are operated by links 21, 22 connected by hydraulic links to cylinders 27 operated by the rudder quadrant. In a modification, the links 21, 22 are operated by servomotors controlled by fluid links from the steering wheel.
