Class 64 (iii) An arrangment for heating a room or other enclosed space comprises at least one tube of heal resisting material passing upwardly through the fire area 6 of a fireplace or combustion furnace and along the interior of a chimney 2 leading from the fire area said tube having an inlet for air to be heated at its lower end and being lagged with heat insulating material 16 above the fire area and passing through the wall of the chimney for discharge of heated air into the room or space to be heated. In the form shown two air heating tubes 3, 4 are provided, air to be heated entering the tubes through inlets 13, 14 and heated air being discharged through outlets 15.
