676,186. Seed-sowing machines. HAYDOCK, E. G. Dec. 19, 1950, No. 30872/50. Class 6(i) Seed is picked up by rotating discs 8 provided with passages 9 connected through a hollow axle 2 and flexible pipe 10 with a vacuum pump 7 mounted on a tractor. The discs pass through slots 14 in a seed hopper 3 and the seed is ejected from the discs by contact with the underside of the hopper after one revolution, the seed dropping through funnels into furrows made by V-shaped runners.
