Class 6 (1) In a furrow-forming share for a potato-planting machine comprising two diverging blades 2 the end portions of the blades are provided with wedge-shaped recesses ABCD to allow earth to flow into the furrow. The size of the recesses may be varied by slidably adjustable plates mounted behind the blades 2. Soil-guiding plates 3 or rotatable discs are provided to close the furrow. Potatoes are deposited in a tube formed with a helical spring 6 and fall onto an inclined plate 1.
