705,894. Ploughs. THIEME, C. July 14, 1952 [Aug. 22, 1951 ; Oct. 12, 1951], No. 17661/52. Class 6 (1) The ploughing-in of straw, manure and the like is facilitated by the use of a truncated conical soil-pressing member A in front of the share, the member rotating by contact of its generatrix with the soil to press the straw &c. downwardly. The member is mounted for rotation on an upright C adjustable on a frame member D carrying the plough share E, and a spring may be arranged between the upright C and frame D to allow for irregularities of the ground. A pair of conical pressers may be mounted in front of each share E.
