Abstract

670,689. Moulding concrete &c. walls in situ. BRYDON CONSTRUCTION CO., Ltd. Nov. 3, 1947 [March 11, 1946], No. 7468/46. Class 20(ii) A shuttering section for casting concrete walls &c. comprises a metal plate 1, Figs. 1, 2, having a flange 2 at the upper edge and a bifurcation formed by tongues 3 at the lower edge whereby the sections may be interengaged vertically. The wall corners are formed by sheet metal angular pieces 5, Fig. 12, preferably curved and having one limb 7 longer than the other 6, the upper edge of each piece being curled over as at 8, Fig. 10, and strips 9 being provided on the corner-pieces to overlap the adjacent sections. Spacers 11, Fig. 9, may be. used to fill the gap between a cornerpiece and an adjacent section, each spacer having a tongue 12 attached whereby the spacer may be clipped on the strip 9 on the corner-pieces. The corner-pieces are superposed with long and short limbs disposed alternately. The main shuttering sections are supported between the upright columns described in Specification 590,939.
