Abstract

1,038,572. Shuttering for casting walls. SYMONS M.F.G. Co. March 16, 1964, No. 10995/64. Heading E1S. A panel for shuttering for casting concrete comprises a rectangular metal frame 22 adapted to receive in a recess 33 a plywood panel 20 and a rubber &c. edging strip 34 of right angular cross-section so that one flange 40 overlaps the edge of the frame. The strip is tapered at 45 to increase its resiliency and allow for expansion of the plywood. The ribs 26, 28 of the frame 22 have notches for shuttering ties which are sealed by the rubber strips and the webs 30 have openings for bolts and wedges to connect the panels together.
