Abstract
667,425. Making economizer tubes. SENIOR ECONOMISERS, Ltd., and HARDY, L. E. July 11, 1950 [Oct. 28, 1949], No. 27717/49. Class 83 (ii). [Also in Group XIII] An economizer tube is made by rolling a part a only of a flat metal strip to the desired curvature of the finished tube, and welding the curved part either to a strip d curved as shown throughout its whole width by rolling, or to the curved part of a strip which is partly curved by rolling and partly flat, so as to form a tube or part thereof with the uncurved portion or portions projecting as a longitudinal fin or fins. In one form, the tube comprises four strips with curved parts welded together and four projecting fins. Specification 619,307 is referred to.
