666,675. Valve-gear. SOC. D'ETUDES DE MACHINES THERMIQUES. Oct 10, 1949 [Oct. 12, 1948], No. 25973/49. Class 7(vi) In an engine comprising two exhaust valves 5, 6 and two inlet valves 3, 4 to each cylinder, the valves 5, 6 are actuated by a rocker 12 having two forks 13, 14, and the valves 3, 4 by a rocker 10, the inner arm of which is divided into two portions 7, 8, the forks 13, 14 and portions 7, 8 being symmetrical about a vertical plane through the cylinder axis. The arm portions 7, 8 are connected together by a bridge-piece 18 and the arms 13, 14 are arranged to pass on either side of a fuel injector 2. In a modification the arms 7, 8 are separate and keyed to a shaft actuated by the lever 10.
