Abstract
661.326. Windows. GENERAL BRONZE CORPORATION. Jan. 30, 1947 [Feb. 14, 1946], No. 14430/49. Divided out of 661,265. Class 20(iii) In a window construction comprising a sash having horizontal and vertical rails and crossed muntins secured to the rails, the muntins 122, 123 at their points of intersection are interlocked with their faces substantially flush, and are maintained in interlocked condition by removable resilient clips. The muntins are secured to the sash rails by self-threading screws 127 which pass through holes in lips 126 on the ends of the muntins and screw into selected holes in the rails. The muntins are recessed at 129, 131 and 133, 134 for inter-engagement, and the free ends 138, 139 of the clips engage beneath the lips 140 of the glazing beads. The muntin arrangement for standardized sashes may thus be decided by the builder on the site.
