Abstract
659,962. Tag fasteners. FLEISCHER MILLS, Inc. June 16, 1949, No. 16055. Convention date, Dec. 29, 1948. [Class 73] A tag fastener of sheet material has a single leg 16 and a double leg 26, 28. The single leg has a piercing locking tongue 12 and an attachment wing 14 struck from it, while the double leg has a hole 22 giving access to a pocket 32 formed by an offset 20 in the part 28. When the legs are pressed together the tongue 12 pierces the material to which the tag is to be attached and enters the hole 22, being deflected away from the joint between the legs 16, 28, so that a pull on the tag increases the locking action.
