Abstract
678,095. Buckles. GUEST, Ltd., O. D., and GUEST, I. J. Sept. 19, 1950 [Sept. 20, 1949], No. 24111/49. Class 43. In a pivoted tongue buckle the pointed free end 17 of the tongue is bent downwards and in its fastening position extends into a hole, recess, notch or groove provided in or on an end bar of the buckle frame. The tongue may be pivoted between lugs 16 on a crossbar 13 of a rectangular frame or on an end bar of a frame having no intermediate crossbar, its downwardly bent pointed end 17 being received in a hole 18, or in a notch in the outer side of the end bar 12, or in a recess formed by pressing part of the end bar downwards out of the plane of the rest of the frame, or in an annular groove 23, Fig. 5, in a tube 22 rotatable on the end bar.
