1479646 Buttons SLAPVAGNSKOPPLINGAR AB 27 Nov 1974 [28 Nov 1973] 51454/ 74 Heading A3H A button which pierces the garment material comprises a head 2, a centrally disposed countersunk boss 4, which contacts one surface of the garment in use, and a spike 6 which is to be engaged and deformed within a countersunk aperture 12 of a retainer 10 that engages the other side of the garment. The spike 6, which may have a bevelled point to assist penetration, is deformed by cold, hot, or ultrasonic working. The boss 4 has a bevelled rim 8 which presses against the garment and, like the spike 6, and head 2 may be of plastics.
