653,809. Optical projection apparatus ; reflectors. HANSEL, C. W. Dec. 12, 1947, No. 32747. [Class 97 (i)] [Also in Groups XV and XVIII] Subjects freely movable on a stage 5 are seen both directly and by reflection in birds-eye view in a viewing mirror 2 after reflection in an object mirror 1, the viewing mirror being positioned at the rear of the stage and the object mirror over the stage. The stage may be formed as a screen for the reception of optical or electronic images. The mirrors 1, 2 may be fixed to or adjustably mounted in a framework or cabinet or one mirror may be on a separate stand. Opaque curtains 12 running on rails may surround the display to avoid unwanted light and lamps 25 with reflectors 26 provide any necessary illumination. The display may be optically projected on to the stage 5 which may be translucent for the purpose. This projection may be directly on to the stage or through the mirrors 1, 2 or an auxiliary mirror 11. The stage may be the screen of a television set. Blackboards 16 for instructional purposes and cupboards for apparatus, may be provided. A modification may be used to display objects and the like on shelving.
