[Class.6(i)] [Also in Group XXIX] A crop-dusting or crop-spraying machine comprises a trailer vehicle a having a fan i mounted in gimbals f so that the air current can be directed at will The trailer is mounted on wheels b<SP>1</SP> and carries an engine e driving a pump d for forcing liquid from a tank c into spraying nozzles l located circumferentially around a cylindrical casing h containing the fan. The fan motor k is mounted on a spider at the open rear end of the casing so as to be cooled by the air intake. Powder may be supplied from 'a hopper m, surmounting the casing, through a pipe leading to the hub of the fan. The hopper may contain a bucketwheel for dispensing quantities of powder to the fan. The gimbals may be rotated by rack mechanism (Fig. 3, not shown) on either axis.
