Abstract
635,598. Moulding confectionery. ARMAND, C. G. M. Sept. 3, 1947, No. 24260. [Class 87 (ii)] A mat for moulding sweetmeats such as soft creams is made of flexible material e.g. rubber and has rows of moulds B in it, the mould parts being made separable by slitting the mat along the rows of moulds, the ends of the slits terminating in holes D which extend through the mat near the edges. The moulds may extend part way through the mat or completely through it, in which case they may be closed at the bottom by a sheet of flexible material vulcanized or cemented to the mat. Alternatively, the mat may be placed in a frame. Rebates E formed at the edges enable the mat to be picked up easily. According to the Provisional Specification the mat may be made in a number of sections which fit in openings in a grid-like frame. Specification 1128/15, [Class 87 (ii)], is referred to.
