627,029. Heat-storing apparatus; heating systems for buildings. ARNKVAERN, A. Sept. 18, 1946, No. 28048. Convention date, July 30, 1940. [Class 64(ii)] In a hot water storage system or other water heating plant comprising a storage tank a connected by a pipe to an expansion tank c arranged at a height above the tank a so as to increase the boiling point of the water in it, there is connected in the expansion pipe e a chamber d or pipe coils, having a volume large enough to take all the water with a temperature above normal boiling point expelled from the tank when normal boiling point is exceeded, so that boiling water does not reach the tank c. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises the application of a similar arrangement to, a central heating system with or without a storage tank. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
