Abstract

1,136,796. Hot water supply systems. RANGE BOILERS Ltd. 19 June, 1967 [20 July, 1966], No. 32566/66. Heading F4A. A hot-water storage vessel fed directly from the mains through a pressure reducing valve C is provided with a relief valve E set at a higher pressure than the valve C and with a draw-off pipe F arranged to form an air space H of sufficient volume to absorb the water expansion on heating without the increase in pressure causing escape of water through relief valve E. To avoid overheating the valve E may incorporate a fusible plug.
