Abstract
626,834. Lamp-holders. AKERS, Ltd., .J., and HOROBIN, H. C. Sept. 5, 1947, No. 24476. [Class 38 (i)] A fitting for a-double-ended tubular lamp 31 comprises a channeled base 10 having at one or both ends, a depending wall 11 with an inwardly extending peripheral flange 12 forming a housing for a lamp-holder 20. Slidable on the lamp end, or each lamp end is a sleeve 32 having a flange 33 forming a closure plate for the housing when the lamp pins 30 have been inserted in the holder through a slot 13 in the base of the flange 12, two spring clips 34 carried by the flange 33 engaging lugs 14 located inside the flange 12 to secure the cover-plate on the housing. The lamp may be removed by the use of a key such as a U-shaped wire 40, Fig. 5, having lugs 41, which are inserted through holes 17 in the flange 12 to disengage the clips 34 from the lugs 14 and permit withdrawal of the cover-plate.
