Abstract
619,844. Drying printed fabrics. CHESKOVA, Ltd., WALL, G., and HINDLEY, W. B. Dec. 31, 1946, No. 38180. [Class 34 (ii)] Printed fabric, secured to a printing table, is dried by a heated air chamber, open on its under side, which traverses lengthwise of the table. The chamber includes a fan 10 driven by a motor 9, which circulates air through the electric heater 12 on to the fabric, and then between the spaced inner and outer walls 1 and 2 back to the fan. Lateral gaps at each side of the chamber are sealed by flexible flaps 3, and adjustable scoops are arranged at the front and rear which just clear the fabric. Fresh air may be admitted through an adjustable damper, not shown, and heatresponsive means provided for controlling the air temperature.
