Abstract

616,757. Box spanners. BLYTHE, H. Sept. 12, 1946, No. 27369. [Class 61 (iii)] A box spanner or wheel-nut wrench comprises a shaft 1 connected to a box spanner 2 by a connecting member 3 at one end and at the other a revoluble hand-grip 5 journalled between a collar 6 and a fixed, knurled sleeve 7. An opening 8 passing through the sleeve 7 and shaft 1 is for use with a tommy-bar. The connecting member 3 consists of a collar 3a having a plug 3b on one side welded in the shaft 1 and an hexagonal projection 3c on the other which is secured to the box spanner 2 by means of a grub-screw 4.
