608,057. Refrigerators. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC INTERNATIONAL CO. Feb. 14, 1946, No. 4651. Convention date, Feb. 6, 1945. [Class 29] A refrigerated storage tank for drinking water, fed through a ball cock 19, has a thermostatically controlled valve 24 in series with the ball cock to control the admission of water according to the temperature of the water in the tank. From the ball cock the water passes to a pipe 22 having a constantly open restricted byepass 23 and a casing 26 containing a thermostatic bellows 27 operating the valve 24. The water is cooled by an evaporator 12 and the thermostatic valve prevents more-water being admitted than the evaporator can cool to the required temperature. The bye-pass 23 comprises a capillary tube. An agitator 15 circulates the water.
