606,576. Gas cooking-stoves. MAIN, Ltd., R. & A., and ADAM, A. J. Oct. 9, 1945, No. 26360. [Class 126] In a gas cooking-stove having a burner 17 extending across the back wall of the oven, the gases escape through a top flue 19 which opens at 21 into the oven near the front thereof and communicates with a rear outlet 20. The burner nipples 18 are inclined in a direction substantially parallel with an inclined lower portion 15 of the oven back wall 13 while a vertical baffle 14 projects above the bottom plate 11 to form a pocket for the burner which is open at its lower side to provide for the free access of air.
