589,156. Heat reflectors for fireplaces. BARNES, R. W. Feb. 26, 1945, No. 4764. [Class 126] A reflector disposed above an open fire, comprises an inverted substantially U-shaped member 3 flared outwardly from rear to front, with with its front edge extending at least to the fireplace surround 1 and is supported by struts 8 adjustably secured to each side wall 4 by wing nuts. When built into new fireplaces, the reflector has a back wall and flue outlet in the top wall.
