[Classes 51(i) and 51(ii)] The pottery kiln described in Specification 570,335 is modified by so arranging the fireplace flues that one fireplace a feeds outlets a<2> in the centre of the oven, others b and c feed outlets b' and c' arranged in intermediate semi-circular formation, and the remaining fireplaces e feed peripheral outlets e<2>. As in the prior construction secondary air is introduced into the flues at the point where they enter the oven.
