[Class 38 (i)] A terminal assembly for sealing into a metal container comprises a tube of vitreous or ceramic material bonded around a metallic tube and to a metallic ring sealed to the container, a terminal for connection to the external circuit also being bonded to the vitreous &c. tube. As shown, the internal lead 6 is sealed with solder 7 to the end of the tube 3 and is passed on and soldered at 8 to the tag of the terminal 1 bonded to the vitreous tube 2 which is in turn bonded to the tube 3 and the washer 4 sealed to the container wall represented at 5.
