Abstract

609,061. Binding-posts. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and SAGE, J. A. March 5, 1946, No. 6783. [Class 38 (i)] A terminal for an electrical condenser or like component sealed in a metal container, comprises an insulating post 4 sealed in the container and a metal band 1 surrounding said post and tightened thereon by lapping the ends 7, 8 of the band over each other and folding them against the post. Lugs 2, 3 are provided on the band to which a wire 6 from the component and a wire to an external circuit are soldered respectively. The wire 6 is sealed in a hole 5 through the centre of the post. The latter may be circular as shown, or non-circular, e.g. hexagonal, Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown).
