[Class 110 (i)] A centrifugal pump arranged for running in both directions has two sets of guide or diffuser blades 7, 8 surrounding the impeller 2 and each can be moved into the operative position between the impeller and the volute 5. The movement may be effected by a, number of spaced pneumatic cylinders 9.
