Abstract

622,669. Centrifugal pumps. MICKLETHWAIT, E. W. E. (Sulzer Freres Soc. Anon.). Sept. 10, 1946, No. 27164. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, March 17, 1947]. [Class 110(i)] A multi-stage centrifugal fan or pump has a supporting pedestal 18 secured to a cover 14 of the pump and consisting of a base portion 21 and a tapering body portion 32 open towards the pump cover 14, the axis IV of the tapered portion 32 being inclined to the axis of the pump. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also a multi-stage pump in which the parts which conduct the medium from one stage to the next are provided with blades and are cast without cores having to be inserted into the moulds. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
