Abstract

590,135. Sliver guides. CASABLANCAS HIGH DRAFT CO., Ltd., and NOGUERA, J. April 13, 1945, No. 9299, [Class 120 (i)] The supporting face 3 of a sliver guide or collector of approximately triangular prismatic shape is formed with a recess 10 extending over substantially the width of the face at the inlet end 11 and merging into the face towards the outlet end, thereby affording a clearance between the face and the associated roller 4 to prevent loose fibres being nipped therewith consequent unthreading of the collector. The feature may be applied to both upper and lower faces of the collector.
