589,320. Folding seats. WOODCOCK, N. W. Feb. 9, 1945, No. 3358. [Classes 52 (ii) and 52 (iii)] Tubular metal side frames .connected by flexible seat and back fabrics 1, 16 are made in two telescopic parts 2, 3 and the pair of frames are connected by crossed links 10 having a central pivot 11, the telescoping parts being in abutment when the seat is unfolded for use. The upper member of the side frame may have arm rests 18. A series of seats with common intermediate side frames can be provided and the seat and back fabrics may each be formed from a continuous strip of material.
