585,957. Washing-boilers. DALRYMPLE, J. L., and BUTT, K. G. June 30, 1944, No. 12477. [Class 64 (i)] [Also in Group VIII] Washing liquid is circulated within a container heated at its base by an appliance comprising a downwardly flanged base plate 6 and an upper perforated spraying ring 9 connected with the base by circulating pipes 8. The appliance constitutes a basket for holding the articles being washed and fits the container 1 closely. Liquid heated under the base plate 6 rises up the pipes 8 and is sprayed over the articles by the ring 9, finally returning beneath the base plate through apertures 11 in its flange. The base plate is dished at 7 to collect sediment.
