XIII and XIV] A foot or castor for supporting a domestic heating, washing or like appliance has a tapered shank 13 to engage an upwardly directed tapered socket 11, secured to the inner side of the body 10 of the article, and provided with an inwardly directed flange 14 which can be secured to a flange 17 on the foot. An outwardly projecting rib 22 may be provided to engage the lower rim of the article.
